ISO 9001:2008
ISO 9001:2008 is a worldwide standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization:
- needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
- aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
All requirements of ISO 9001:2008 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.
BSEN15038:2006
BSEN15038:2006 is a specific European Standard applicable to Translation Services. The purpose of BSEN15038:2006 is to establish and define the requirements for the provision of quality services by translation service providers. It encompasses the core translation process and all other related aspects involved in providing the service including:
- quality assurance and traceability
- linguistic and personnel qualifications
- quality management and project management
- client communications
- performance appraisals and reviews
PharmaQuest was assessed by SGS, a third party auditor, and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 on 18th November 2010 for the following activities:
The management of medical translation services, specialising in the translation and linguistic validation of patient reported outcome measures conforming to BSEN15038:2006.
